Paul Barron, MLS, is the library manager at the University of Mary Washington's College of Graduate and Professional Studies in Fredericksburg, Virginia. After retiring from the Marine Corps, he earned a library degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He served in public and special libraries and as the technology director for the Rockbridge County Schools in Lexington, Va. He is a National Teacher Training Institute master teacher and has provided workshops and presentations on Web searching at state and national conferences. He presented at Internet@Schools East 2004 and will present a session on link checking at the 2005 conference in Washington, D.C.

There is a method to locate and textually or graphically display links to sites that amplify the content of a useful Web site. The method can also be employed to assist in verifying the credibility of a Web resource and as a very effective search technique.
