BrainPOP--the company that provides brief, explanatory movies on hundreds topics across the curriculum--is offering free access to a short video on hurricanes for a limited time, to help students grasp what has happened in New Orleans and along the Gulf Coast as a result of Hurricane Katrina. A message about the video from a company representative noted that "it helps if [students] can understand the science behind what happened."
