District Administration magazine has an excellent story in its January 2005 issue entitled "Heart of the School--The school library is as valuable as learning how to read and compute. But it's a tough sell for administrators," by Angela Pascopella. It's about, well, the media center as the heart of the school, and the key to improving learning. Read it and feel good, but also don't fail to show it to your colleagues and administrators, including principals and superintendants! Click HERE to link to the story. (Thanks to an alert librarian on the school library media specialists' discussion group LM_NET for tipping us off to this story.)
