District Administration magazine has an excellent story in its January 2005 issue entitled "Heart of the School--The school library is as valuable as learning how to read and compute. But it's a tough sell for administrators," by Angela Pascopella. It's about, well, the media center as the heart of the school, and the key to improving learning.
