Inspiration for Pocket PC Debuts

Inspiration Software has launched Inspiration for Pocket PC, which joins Inspiration for Palm OS, launched last year. Combining the power of visual learning with the ease of handhelds, Inspiration for Pocket PC includes many of the capabilities of Inspiration, including RapidFire and ready-to-use templates, according to the announcement. With Inspiration for Pocket PC, students and teacher use the stylus to create graphic organizers by sketching symbols and arranging thoughts directly on the screen.

Special zoom options are included so that students and teachers can review and modify details whether they are viewing the entire graphic organizer or focusing on one section. To finish a project, students can transfer to a handheld word processor, sync their handheld device to Inspiration on a desktop computer, or beam to a printer.

Educators interested in previewing Inspiration for Pocket PC can download a free 30-day trial from the Inspiration Software Web site at There are a variety of ways to purchase Inspiration for Pocket PC. Single copies can either be downloaded from the Web site or ordered on CD for $29.95. The Inspiration Companion Bundle for Pocket PC, including Inspiration for Pocket PC and Inspiration 7.6, is available for $89.95. Volume pricing and Quantity Purchase pricing are also available.

Customers with Inspiration 7 and higher can download a free update adding the capability to synchronize between the desktop and the Pocket PC application. The update is available at in the Inspiration section.
