IAS Announces Educational Discounts on Podcasting Software

Industrial Audio Software (IAS) has announced it is offering a 10 percent discount for educators and educational institutions on its ePodcast Producer software. Podcasting, a type of audio blogging, is a way of creating radio-style programming and then "broadcasting" this content across the Internet. It is considered by many to be today's fastest growing communication technology, according to the IAS announcement. Students, teachers, districts, and schools are all finding new ways to incorporate podcasting into their programs, curriculum, and lesson plans.

Podcasting is being used to share students' special projects and events such as oral histories, chorus and band concerts, and classroom panel discussions. School news programs can be sent to alumni and parents far away, and lectures and class content are made available outside of class. The ePodcast Series from Industrial Audio Software offers an integrated podcasting solution of real benefit to teachers, the announcement states.

IAS now offers integrated podcasting software systems, free online tutorials, built-in teleprompter, powerful editor, and this special educator's discount. The discount is intended to encourage the work of teachers in making podcasting available in their schools and districts.
