Edmodo, the free and secure K-12 social learning platform, has announced an enhanced version of the web-based learning platform and the worldwide release of the latest Edmodo iPad app, complete with several updates and new features. The announcement was made during the third annual EdmodoCon, its online conference about education.

Edmodo’s new version offers a simplified user interface and cross-device consistency, making daily teaching activities easier. The new design makes it easy for teachers to safely use the social networking tool in the classroom, exciting learners daily with dynamic new content across class subjects. Also, with a new customizable toolbar, Edmodo provides simpler access to apps and streamlines collaborative communication with student and teacher groups.

Built specifically for mobile to address the way people use their devices, the new iPad app builds off the updates to the web version and makes full classroom management possible. New accounts can now be created from the app; and files, photos, and videos can be directly imported to or exported from other iPad apps, making assignment allocation and submission effortless.

An additional element is that the selection of free, third-party apps are now available to international users. This feature broadens the accessibility of modular, curated apps designed to enrich lesson plans worldwide.
