The Consortium for School Networking (CoSN), in partnership with the One-to-One Institute, launched a new Web site for educators interested in learning more about states and school districts that have one-to-one computing initiatives underway.
The site, http://www.K12one2one.org/, provides a public online directory of major U.S. K-12 institutions that give students and teachers one-to-one access to technology. The online material includes resources and research on one-to-one computing.
Originally known as the Ubiquitous Computing Evaluation Consortium, the site was initially developed by SRI International as a project funded by the National Science Foundation. Funding for that project ended in early 2006. CoSN and the One-to-One Institute have joined forces to maintain and update the content.
