COMPanion Corporation has announced the release of Textbook Tracker v3.03, a cross platform (Windows & Macintosh) textbook management program. Textbook Tracker enables users to hold students and parents accountable for lost and damaged textbooks, thus saving schools/districts money, the announcement states.
According to recent audits conducted in school districts throughout the U.S., average-sized school districts lose between $100,000 and $650,000 each year in lost and damaged textbooks. These same audits indicate that schools can cut their textbook losses by half or more by implementing textbook management software, per the COMPanion announcement.
Texbook Tracker v3.03 is a free update to current customers. The benefits in v3.03 include circulation and reporting enhancements, improved stability and speed, and refined security settings.
Textbook Tracker v3.03 supports Macintosh OS 10.2 through the soon-to-be-released Mac OS 10.4 "Tiger," as well as Windows 2000 and XP.
