Installation: Contact Knovation for free access and subscription information to other services and products. Installation Rating: A

Content/Features: In case you were wondering, open educational resources (OER) are freely accessible, as are openly licensed digital resources and media that are useful for teaching, learning, and assessing as well as for research purposes. The Knovation Content Collection is one of the best organized sources of open educational resources available and serves as an excellent foundation for other Knovation products available by subscription.

The Knovation Content Collection has hundreds of thousands of professionally evaluated, standards-aligned, online resources covering all subject areas, all grade levels and styles, and all learning resource types. Knovation places these resources in an order and context that help teachers easily find what they need when they need it. Resources are aligned to standards, and curriculum are evaluated, tagged, and maintained by educators.

The Knovation Content Collection is continuously updated and maintained. What Have We Done for You Lately? is Knovation’s online publication that provides a sample of the resources added to the collection over the preceding months.

Some of the kinds of resources in the collection are activities, apps, articles, assessments, audio material and ebooks, interactive media, learning games and modules, lesson plans, and primary source and reference materials. Also included are student-centered material, test preparation, video and visual material, websites, and whiteboard resources.

The collection is organized into an easy-to-use folder structure to save time finding appropriate material, increasing the efficiency of internet use. Teachers can collaborate with each other more efficiently using the collection.

School districts can pay Knovation to help them integrate resources and digital instruction into their curriculum or for specific uses such as professional training and curriculum alignment. Digital content can be provided through the Knovation applications netTrekker and icurio. Content/Features Rating: A

Ease of Use: Anyone who can use the internet can use the Knovation Content Collection and other Knovation resources. Individual resources may require some extra help or training for student use. Ease of Use Rating: A

Product Support: Product support features online resources, including a blog and contact via phone or email for subscribers. Product Support Rating: A

Recommendation: Internet use in educational settings can be frustrating because of the number of resources of varying quality available, the difficulty in using some sites, suitability for children, etc. School districts are under pressure to incorporate the internet and other digital instruction into curriculums. The Knovation Content Collection is an outstanding tool for that purpose, providing an excellent selection and organization of internet resources. I recommend it for all schools at all grade levels. Highly Recommended
