Recommendation: Students learn world languages online through real-life communication, cultural immersion, performance-based tasks, and project-based learning. Learning can be accessed anywhere, anytime on a variety of technology tools, including desktop computers, laptops, tablets, or smartphones. A wide variety of videos are available, including “Vocabulary Starters,” “Bedtime Stories,” “Top 100 English Nouns,” “Travel Trips,” “Expressing Emotions,” “Academic Word List,” “Making Small Talk,” and “Talking About the Present.”
The program suggests that students watch one video a day based on level and interests. Students interact with the video by filling in the blanks with new words. Instant feedback is provided when speech is used. Users can record themselves to learn from their mistakes. The speaking and listening practice is one of the strongest features of this program. After the user is finished watching, learning, and speaking a video lesson, the user can GoLive!, which is a 20-minute lesson over the phone with a teacher based on the video just completed. Services are available 24/7 except on holidays. Live tutors are available over the web and through mobile devices.
An important element of the program is the level test that provides an individualized assessment of the student’s strengths and weaknesses in listening comprehension, grammar and vocabulary, communication, pronunciation, and fluency. Feedback is immediate and provided by a level test report.
If you are looking for a language program to teach English, this is an excellent teaching tool. Highly Recommended
