Content/Features: Bloomz is an easy-to-use and elegant solution, simplifying the process of communicating in educational settings. It is especially good for project-based learning and other educational situations requiring frequent communication and coordination. Bloomz is an excellent complement to learning management systems as well.
Teachers can send notifications to parents and classes in multiple ways, including the phone app notifications system (iOS or Android), email and text or SMS (a kind of text messaging), and in-app badges. Communications can include attachments such as photos, videos, and documents.
Bloomz is an invitation-only network, which means new members can only gain access to Bloomz through an invitation from an existing member, a class code, or an invitation requested directly from Bloomz. Since teachers always control who accesses information, Bloomz is a private and secure network.
When teachers invite members via email through the Bloomz app, members are automatically added to the contact/member list. Parents can always decide when to join Bloomz, but as long as the member list is up-to-date, all announcements, photos, and events sent through Bloomz will be distributed to all members. Private responses can be made as well.
Bloomz can be used for posts, announcements, alerts with inserted pictures, or other attached files. Posts can be scheduled for future dates, have an RSVP attached, or be shared on Facebook and translated into 84 languages automatically. One-to-one or one-to-many messaging is possible, as well as class or group chats.
The Bloomz app can be used for class connections and updates including reminders for assignment due dates, registration deadlines, class calendars, etc. Event RSVPs can be tracked, or Bloomz can be used for volunteer and conference sign-ups. Teachers can also use it to build a portfolio of student work and keep a timeline of it through the year. Behavior can be tracked and reinforced. Content/Features Rating: A
