For May 1, 2014: Four of my grandchildren presented me with their framed artwork for my birthday. These masterpieces are now hanging on my wall. They were so eager to describe the artists they had chosen to emulate, Matisse, Van Gogh, and Cassell. Their mom had found a number of websites that provided a printable lesson about the artists and step-by-step instructions for duplicating their artistic styles. KinderArt is an example of one of those sites. Type in a keyword or browse by discipline or age to find a list of lessons. Collect the needed materials, introduce the lesson, and watch your students flourish. Finally, subscribe to the free newsletter that is full of art lessons, craft projects, seasonal activities, special days, articles on creativity, and more.

Fly over to CyberBee at for more great websites, lessons, and activities to use with students.
