For April 15, 2005:

Get ready for a summer geology adventure. Your budding rock hounds won't want to miss the Rock Hounds Web site http://www.fi.edu/fellows/fellow1/oct98/index2.html, nor will you! Before you turn your students loose to collect rocks, check out the safety area and take the quiz to win a Rock Hound Safety Award. Colorful illustrations show how rocks are formed and their classification. There are lots of quizzes and puzzles to test student knowledge. A wide assortment of resources and lessons will spur inquiry into "how" and "why" questions related to rocks.
