For August 1, 2006: Multiple media and storytelling really come alive at the DigiTales Web site, from educator and ed. tech. consultant Bernajean Porter. The site presents seven steps to creating a 3-5 minute digital movie, with specific directions for each step. Elements for writing the narrative or script provide direction in giving a story personal meaning. There are story planning templates, directions planning digital folders, and more. Even if you have had no experience with voiceovers, these directions will assist you in completing the task.

Gathering and preparing media resources offers students a great opportunity to be creative. Putting it all together provides helpful hints for thinking about purpose and impact of the story.
