For July 15, 2006: The National Audubon Society is celebrating its centennial year! The organization was formed to protect birds from plume hunters who sold the feathers to the fashion industry for decorations on hats and clothing. Features include information about science and birds, current issues, and creating a wildlife-friendly back yard.
