For April 1, 2009: Arbor Day is celebrated in most states in April. At the Arbor Day Foundation website, learn about the history of Arbor Day. Then, celebrate by planting a tree in your schoolyard. You can incorporate Arbor Day throughout your school curriculum. Suggestions and materials are provided, including an online tree identification guide.  Arbor Day is a great spring activity for the entire school community.
