Abraham Lincoln Papers at the LOC

For February 15, 2009: Abraham Lincoln, one of the most popular presidents to govern this ountry, left a legacy of more than 20,000 documents, and you can access them at the Abraham Lincoln Papers at the Library of Congress, a collaborative project of the Library of Congress Manuscript Division and the Lincoln Studies Center at Knox College. One of the treasures from this collection is a draft of the Emancipation Proclamation. There are two special presentations that will garner the most interest from students: the Emancipation Proclamation and the Lincoln Assassination.  For educators, the Learning Page has prepared a Collection Connection that adds meaning to the primary source material.
