Sagebrush InfoCentre provides site-based library automation and the flexibility to streamline processes to capture most of the cost savings found in a centralized system. Users have the choice of implementing a fully distributed or a partially distributed infrastructure.

InfoCentre offers a combination of the best features of Sagebrush Athena, Sagebrush Spectrum, and Sagebrush Accent, as well as new features. The system includes improved functions and workflow for inventory and MARC matching, as well as enhanced security and log-in options. The browser-based interface can be customized, allowing a choice of circulation desk interfaces.

The InfoCentre system offers a variety of resources. Drag and drop options allow librarians to create unique customized reports based on specific library needs.

The system works on multiple platforms, including Windows, Mac OS X, or Novell. Users can scan current barcodes; there is no need to re-barcode or purchase new scanning hardware. The system also works with Sagebrush In-Hand, allowing media specialists to continue to perform inventory and remote circulation.

InfoCentre can be configured to create virtual unions, enabling searches in a specific library, in all libraries in a district, or in a group of libraries within a district that are also using the InfoCentre library automation system.

Services that are add-ons to Athena and Spectrum are standard on InfoCentre. Among them are visual search options that enable searches using graphical icon-based buttons and a z39.50 server that allows remote searchers to view the library's collection.

Also included are a PatronPorter feature that converts patron data from existing databases and a z39.50 client that searches and saves records from remote libraries.

Among the additional standard offerings are WebConnect/WebLink, providing one-click access to Web and electronic resources from search stations, and the WebServer/ Web Catalog browser-based search interface.

Unlimited/multi-user licensing options are available. Sagebrush Corporation provides e-learning training classes for InfoCentre with current technical support contracts.
