KnowledgeBox 4.0 is the newest release of the K-6 learning system that provides digital standards-based multimedia resources for reading/language arts, math, science, and social studies.

This supplemental program offers video, text resources, interactive games, multimedia lessons, and lesson plans. Units incorporate multimedia, as well as hands-on activities, stories, and other materials. The program is standards-based and searchable by subject, grade level, and standard.

Custom-built lesson materials enable teachers to create lessons for an entire class or for individual self-paced learning. Lessons may be archived for future access and shared with educators in a school or district.

The 4.0 update allows teachers to work with national and state standards alignments down to the objective level. This new feature provides a streamlined system of menus and sub-menus that guide teachers through tiers of learning strands to specific goals covered by a particular lesson.

KnowledgeBox 4.0 includes 11 new lessons across content areas: Earth Science: Seasons; Famous Faces: Cesar Chavez; Folktales: Tall Tales; Great States: Alaska; Great States: Maryland; Great States: Pennsylvania; Math Operations: Addition; Math Operations: Subtraction and Doubles; Monster Math: Addition and Subtraction; Monster Math: Subtraction Practice; and Num-ber Sense: Calendars.

The program also features 240 updated pre-built lessons. Revised and updated lesson plans are included; many student lessons now may be completed independently, without teacher direction. Also offered are 50 new printable workbooks, as well as 75 revised and updated workbooks.

The server-based KnowledgeBox 4.0 provides restructured student and teacher interfaces. The new student interface features icons that provide access to the To Do List, Find, My Projects, KB Net, and Help functions. The teacher interface now consolidates search content in one Find button, but still allows the option of conducting searches in multiple ways.

Teachers and administrators are offered enhanced access and lesson development capabilities. In addition, the system features restructured meta-tagging, which results in advanced keyword searching providing a tier structure by subject and topic.

KnowledgeBox 4.0 will be downloaded automatically to current KnowledgeBox customers.
