The Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro publishing software can be used for the creation of PDF files, collaboration on materials among students and teachers, and preparation of digital files for print production. The Adobe Soundbooth CS4 audio software offers a platform for creating and editing digital audio files or customizing music and sound effects.

Additional special features of the Digital School Collection for K–12 include netbook compatibility support for Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 for Windows and Mac. A free teacher resource DVD offers K–12 lesson plans, ideas, and tutorials designed to aid in project implementation. The teacher resources are also provided online at no cost at www.adobe.com/education/instruction/adsc.

The Adobe Digital School Collection is available from authorized Adobe education resellers at a volume licensing price of $149. The stand-alone version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 for Windows and Mac is $69. An Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 and Adobe Premiere Elements 8 bundle for Windows is $119.
